You may have done your research. You might now know more than you ever wanted to know about self-storage. But all the comparisons, storing and moving tips, and reviewing you could do on the Internet might still have left you with a few questions. So we've put together this little list to try and help you get the answers you need. Here are the most frequently asked questions as determined by our Affordable facilities. How much is the deposit?
Our facilities do not charge a security deposit.
Do you provide the key to the unit?
Our member facilities all operate on the "your lock, your key" premise. This means you have your own lock and your own key, and can be assured that only you have access to your unit. For your convenience, our facility do have locks for purchase in their offices.
What do I need to rent a unit?
All you need is a valid driver's license, or other verifiable photo ID.
How long is the contract?
We operate on a month-to-month basis. This means that the minimum stay is one month but you are not tied into a long-term contract. However, those storing for longer periods of time will enjoy discounts for multi-month rentals!
How do I make a reservation?
You can reserve your unit by simply clicking on reserve my unit at the site of your chosen facility or you may call them directly!
What about insurance?
In Texas you must be a licensed agent to sell insurance. In general, most homeowner's or renters insurance will cover up to a certain percentage of your belongings that are stored. Check with your agent for the particulars of your insurance company and your policy. Our member facilities can also provide you with a brochure from a company that specializes in self-storage insurance at very reasonable rates.
How much insurance cost?
$1,000 of coverage at $6.95 a month
$5,000 of coverage at $9.95 a month
$10,000 of coverage at $19.95 a month
$15,000 of coverage at $34.95 a month
Can I pay over the phone?
You may rent and pay for your unit over the phone but you will need to come to the office to complete the initial paperwork. Our facility also offer many automatic billing options that can take the worry out of "paying another bill." Ask your storage expert for details.
What about moving services?
All
My company wants to rent storage and we need to receive regular package deliveries. Is this allowed?
Our facility accept deliveries for their clients. Ask your storage expert for the details at your facility.
What type of payment do you accept?
Our facility accept cash, personal check, money orders, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
